[What the role is]

You will be part of MPA’s Strategy & Policy function which helps to drive MPA’s medium to long term direction to achieve Maritime Singapore’s vision as the world’s leading maritime hub. As a member of the Hub Strategy team, you will be working on data analytics projects covering areas such as trade, shipping traffic and port performance, with the objective of producing data-driven insights for informed policy decisions. As part of this portfolio, you will also need to keep abreast of global trends and maritime developments.

[What you will be working on]

In this role with Hub Strategy Department, the job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Extract, analyse, interpret and visualise data to uncover trends and patterns.
- Enhance our surveillance capabilities through the use of high-frequency data and predictive analytics.
- Develop and maintain data infrastructure to facilitate data access and analysis.
- Conduct qualitative research and analysis to provide meaningful insights.
- Prepare reports and presentations to effectively communicate analytical findings to stakeholders.

[What we are looking for]
- Strong interest in data analysis, highly meticulous and organised, and work well under pressure.
- A self-starter and effective team player who possess the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Office software such as Word and PowerPoint. Experience or familiarity in programming languages and software such as SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau would be an advantage.
- Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply. Position will commensurate with experience.
