Our Senior Manager, Strategic Operations, Asia Pacific, assists governance and performance of operations of owned countries, including operational performance, client servicing and retention, travel technology integration, and cost management. This person supports all operational goals and deliverables in the region and works to implement and measure continuous improvement efforts. This position demonstrates an extensive understanding and applicability of all areas in the travel industry, travel technology integration, call center operations, client servicing, and business practices in multiple countries. Additional responsibilities of this position include driving strategic regional initiatives, including enterprise-wide initiatives as identified by stakeholders. This role performs a variety of projects that focus on the organization’s capabilities and performance. They will design and deliver innovative recommendations to optimize the operating model while effectively managing risks.
**As a Senior Manager, Strategic Operations, Asia Pacific, you will**
- Use industry knowledge to provide advice on best practices, and identify and implement operational improvements.
- Review current work processes, procedures, and policies, seeking efficiencies and effectiveness improvements, making sure company objectives are met.
- Review operations performance reports and propose and implement programs to improve the performance of the operations against goals.
- Serve as the primary Ops liaison for Program management and Travel Technology in the region.
- Assist team in reviewing and endorsing service solution design for the APAC region.
- Help lead key strategic regional initiatives. This may include enterprise-wide initiatives as identified by the regional leadership team. This also includes supporting end-to-end project ownership.
- Lead and manage key projects for the operation or participate as an active member of a project team.
**About you**
- Extensive experience (minimum 7-9 years) in the corporate travel industry
- Prior managerial experience (6-7 years)
- Previous experience in the APAC travel industry (8-10+ years)
- Thorough knowledge of the travel industry, fares, and markets
- Thorough knowledge of travel agency operations and travel technologies
- Strong oral and written skills, including presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience
- Six Sigma/DMAIC project management certification preferred
