
Level 1 Support Engineer

We're seeking an IT Level 1 Support Engineer to provide technical support and assistance to our customer. As the first point of contact for IT-related issues, you'll play a critical role in resolving technical problems and ensuring smooth IT operations. This is an outsource role and the contract is 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network problems.
3. Issue Resolution: Resolve Level 1 technical issues, escalating complex issues to senior support engineers or specialized teams.
4. Ticket Management: Manage and resolve IT support tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Knowledge Base: Contribute to the development and maintenance of the IT knowledge base.
6. Communication: Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, providing clear and concise solutions.
7. Documentation: Document technical issues, resolutions, and procedures.
**Requirements**:
1. Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
2. Certifications: CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent certifications are desirable.
3. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IT fundamentals, including hardware, software, and networking.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently.
6. Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize issues based on urgency.
Nice to Have:
1. Experience with IT Service Management Tools: Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, JIRA, or BMC Helix.
2. Knowledge of Operating Systems: Understanding of Windows, macOS, or Linux operating systems.
3. Experience with Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud-based services, such as Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
4. Scripting Skills: Basic scripting skills in languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
