**What the role is**
- The operating environment of the Public Service is undergoing fundamental and rapid change. The issues we face are complex and multi-faceted, which impact the way the Public Service operates and organises itself. To prepare the Public Service for these changes, we have begun the journey towards Public Sector Transformation (PST). As part of the current phase of PST, ServiceSG aims to be on par with globally leading companies in our delivery of public services. A key transformation in the delivery of citizen services is to take a citizen-centric service journey approach to organising services in an integrated manner via a) a digital concierge via the LifeSG app, b) a physical concierge via an expanded network of Integrated Public Service Centres (IPSCs); and c) a national contact centre. Our aim is to transform the current citizen experience of having to navigate across different public agencies to an experience of the Public Service “knowing, understanding and interacting with me as One”. The Service Policy & Leadership team within ServiceSG helps to strengthen the development of the service functional domain by uplifting service policies and standards, implementing service leadership and workforce development programs, building IT tech enabling infrastructure across whole of government and fostering a service excellence culture. **What you will be working on**
- Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will get to take on any of the following different roles: - Talent Developer: o You will design, develop and implement talent development programmes to uplift and professionalise service officers, in the area of service capabilities (such as new training programs, structured job rotations, talent attachment programs to the private sector). This also involves identifying suitable career pathways for service officers and putting in place appropriate developmental interventions for them to grow. o You will also be looking at leadership development planning and related initiatives for the Service community. This involves identifying potential top talents in the Service function, identifying apex-level roles, and succession planning of key apex positions. o Other initiatives you will be involved in include building the service community, organising service conference to bring the outside in and driving competency-based HR processes to uplift the service community. - Curator of Progressive service culture interventions - You can expect to work with various agencies to identify leading people practices for the service officers and scale across the public service. This includes working on Employee Engagement intervention programs (rewards, recognition, service excellence culture initiatives). - Connector with Public Sector Agencies - You get to work closely with different agencies to understand their workforce challenges and work to identify and implement possible reskilling and upgrading opportunities.
