**1. Role Description**
A Business Development Manager for an interior design firm is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and expanding the firm's customer base. They work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to promote the firm's services, and they collaborate with the design team to create proposals and presentations for prospective clients. The Business Development Manager also attends industry events and conferences to network and build relationships with potential clients and partners. Overall, a successful Business Development Manager for an interior design firm should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, and a deep understanding of the interior design industry and its market.
**2. Specific Responsibilities**
- Research and identify potential clients and business opportunities to expand the firm's customer base.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Work closely with the design team to create proposals, presentations, and other materials to pitch potential clients
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and analyze the competitive landscape to identify potential growth opportunities for the firm
- Track and manage the sales pipeline to ensure that leads are being followed up on and that the firm is meeting its sales targets
- Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure that they are satisfied with the firm's services and to identify potential opportunities for growth
