OVERALL JOB SCOPE

This is a dual function role. The primary role involves development and implementation of processes, in close consultation with the Factory Supervisor/Manager, to achieve defined internal company quality standards and external regulatory standards. The secondary role involves supporting the Technology Lead, in execution of assigned projects.

SPECIFIC ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Role
- Assist in setup of a food grade factory and certification processes for extraction of protein & fibre from food waste stream, for production of protein & fibre powder and functional food pre-mix
- Development and Maintenance of SOPs as needed for successful implementation of systems and processes.
- Implement training protocols and train personnel to ensure smooth and safe running of operation in the factory.
- Implementing and overseeing Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs to ensure processes and products are meeting company and regulatory requirements. (HACCP,

Safe Food Quality Programs, Sanitation and Pest Control, Product Quality Assurance, etc)
- Setup requirements for new inbound raw material for suppliers and monitor their compliance.
- Management of existing/new suppliers quality documents and ensure proper documentation.
- Review and improve the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
- Establish test and monitoring system and inspection of materials to ensure quality of finished product.
- Implement and manage the quality, sanitation, and housekeeping processes in the factory. Maintain and enforce food safety plans and allergen programs.
- Follow and adhere to all state, federal and company enforced safety rules and regulations. Facilitate compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements for all products.

Project Management Role
- End to end management of assigned customer projects.
- Co-ordinate activities and stakeholders to ensure satisfactory delivery of assigned contract services and in-house development projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

i. Academic/Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science & Technology or related field with at least 2 years of experience in quality and/or project management.
- Hands on experience in project management methodologies and/or quality management and regulatory requirements is a strong advantage.

ii. Skills
- An observant individual with a meticulous eye for details.
- Strong communicator, decisive individual with strong execution ability
- Solid organizational skills with multi-tasking ability
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English, working knowledge of Chinese is a strong advantage
- Self-driven, resourceful problem solver with a ‘can do’ mentality
- A resourceful, self-driven team player who is able to work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional working environment.

**Salary**: $3,500.00 - $4,500.00 per month
