Purpose of the role
The Senior Manager, Digital Engagement (SMDE) plays a strategic role in the identification, management and execution of new integrated service opportunities. The focus of this role is to drive and increase new business opportunities for TEAM LEWIS by identifying and proactively approaching potential prospects. The SMDE works with the wider team to generate leads, develop pitches and ultimately, to secure new clients in diversified sectors and services. This person takes a lead role in representing the business at building new partnerships and relationships to enhance the overall business proposition.
Key responsibilities and tasks
**_New Business_**
- Works in conjunction with the Head of Growth and Acceleration, APAC and regional / office heads to lead the new business process, helping make key decisions and playing a crucial role in selling TEAM LEWIS credentials throughout the tender process
- Understands and capitalises on the unique selling points of TEAM LEWIS and is able to leverage these against competitor offerings
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations to reinforce TEAM LEWIS’ integrated agency proposition. This includes Facebook, Google, Twitter, General Assembly/Hyper Island, advertisers/publishers, ad tech companies or other agencies across content, social, performance, analytics, technology, data, etc.
- Works with the regional/office leader to identify target businesses and utilises on and offline networks to establish connections with key decision makers and budget holders
- Develops and maintains a map of relevant businesses and organisations, making use of this knowledge to create targeted campaigns and maximise the impact of approaches
- Generates, identifies and nurtures new business prospects
- Identifies and drives cascade opportunities between practices/services and within the TEAM LEWIS and TEAM LEWIS+ network
- Takes ownership of credentials and pitches for clients, collaboratively developing strategic insight, messaging and creative concepts
- Works in conjunction with the regional marketing team to promote TEAM LEWIS as leading provider of integrated communications services
- Writes and compiles compelling credentials, responding to RFI and RFP documents (within deadline) with the aim of securing pitch opportunities
- Maintains an accurate database of prospects
- Produces regular, accurate and comprehensive reports on new business activity and results

Digital Engagement
- **
- Actively promotes the integration of digital and creative product solutions to new clients, developing the uptake of services offered by TEAM LEWIS
- Ability to work with the wider Futures Hub team to review existing clients and come up with an enhanced proposition that meets client’s business goals
- Recognises industry trends and proactively promotes new tools, solutions and processes to continuously evolve and effectively position opportunities for TEAM LEWIS services
- Lend advice/guidance on launching new digital services, taking the lead on specific launches as required
- Works collaboratively with all teams across the region to increase the utilisation of digital services
- Develop strong relationships with clients where appropriate, providing strategic digital consultancy and initiatives for organic growth
- Present the strategic digital face of the agency to external audiences through speaker opportunities, interviews with the media, etc.
Team working and development
- Sets credential/pitch team objectives and tasks with appropriate timelines
- Defines deliverable pitch objectives and sets standards of excellence, driving commitment from all levels of the team
- Acts in a collaborative and inclusive manner, taking lead where required, working closely with wider teams to maximise strengths, work on development areas and help drive growth in digital know how

- **
- Runs and supports training sessions, with a view to maximising opportunities to expand team skills and grow revenues
- Takes a proactive role in promoting the TEAM LEWIS brand, its identity, values and work
- Supports the HR / talent team by promoting, both internally and externally, opportunities at TEAM LEWIS across social media and via the referral scheme
- Works with the HR / talent team to create succession plans and career paths
- Maintains a detailed and up-to-date knowledge of industry (competitors’ and clients’) activities
- Overall, acts as a guardian of best practice

- Demonstrable success at securing new business and increasing client revenues
- Highly commercial, with a proven track record of commercially impacting a business via lead
generation and strategic client consultancy
- Relevant experience of working in a digital communications agency environment
- Has a solid understanding of the wider communications and marketing industry
