About the Team
Workday is looking for a Senior Strategic HR Business Partner, based in Singapore, to join our Organisation Success team (extremely skilled, collaborative, treasured by the business leaders we support)
About the Role
Aligned to the ASEAN and Hong Kong/Taiwan leadership, and 3-4 of our regional functional leaders, this role will partner with leaders to create and execute robust talent strategies, supporting key business initiatives and ensuring maximum organizational effectiveness. This individual will also assist in developing, implementing, and driving enterprise talent programs.
The role is strategic, requiring expertise in the areas of organisational development, leadership development, talent management, executive coaching and program design/implementation. Workday is looking for a true strategic business partner, who will support and be embedded within several functional organisations in APAC and Japan. Will engage as a full member of the leadership teams, leaning in to inquire and understand their business, provide insights and recommendations.
About the Role- Strategic HR Planning: Expected to gain a deep business understanding. Will align and build on the people strategy that supports core business priorities and is focused on organization effectiveness, workforce planning, talent, and overall business performance.- Leadership Development: Drives succession planning, leadership assessment, hi-potential nominations, targeted development investments to build bench strength.- Talent Management: In partnership with the TX CoE, leads talent management and succession planning strategies and processes to develop world-class executive talent.- Culture: Aligns performance management and reward strategies to drive and reinforce a culture of high performance and innovation with and across the business groups.- Employee Engagement: Business champion to drive and leverage employee engagement initiatives that elevate and sustain high levels of employee engagement; leads this work across the Services organization- Project management: Lead HR enterprise programs globally and across the region- HR Partnership: Engagement and collaboration with the global HR team, including HR Operations and CoE teams
About You
Basic Qualifications- 12+ years demonstrated ability supporting executive clients in high growth technology companies.- Experience in supporting large matrixed and dynamic organisations with hyper growth ( +500 workmates and VP plus executive level)
Other Qualifications- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, listening, presentation, meeting facilitation- Ability to seamlessly transition between “thinking on your feet” and “looking around corners”- Executive presence: resilience, consultative style, & ability to translate complex ideas into simple terms- Ability to multitask & context switch in support of supporting multiple regional client groups- Experience in facilitation and organization effectiveness methodologies- Extensive regional specific knowledge of European labour law and regional practices- Deep business understanding: ability to enhance business performance through the creation of thoughtful People Strategies that are both regional and functional.- Strong skills related to analyzing, synthesizing employee data to create valuable context and actionable insights.- History of building & deploying People Programs that are laser-focused to drive measurable, positive change- Ability to orchestrate cross-functional alignment across the HR Ecosystem: Talent Acquisition, OD, Employee Relations, Compensation, D&I HRBPs, etc.- Ability to promote the Workday People Strategy - driving awareness and commitment at the regional level- Good understanding of and comfort in working in a highly matrixed structure.- Ability to build credibility with business clients and mentor/support people and purpose colleagues.
