Law Enforcement Response Operations Specialist

The Law Enforcement Response Team (LERT) is part of the Trust & Safety team. As a LERT Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing and addressing time-sensitive legal process and inquiries regarding user data from law enforcement in the APAC region and Rest of World countries. You will work on a global and cross-functional team to ensure user safety on the platform and mitigate legal risk. You take great pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in our platform and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

**Note**: this position will include reviewing content that may be offensive or sensitive to some people and may include after hours and weekend duty.

What will I be doing?
- Review and respond to a range of legal process and data preservation requests for user data from law enforcement agencies while protecting user privacy
- Ensure that all law enforcement requests are analysed and processed in compliance with the applicable law, our terms of service, internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and our law enforcement guidelines
- Collaborate with cross‑functional internal teams such as legal and external partners to deal with issues concerning safety and data disclosure
- Ensure operational excellence while upholding high quality, speed, and accuracy in your work
- Gather and analyze relevant data to improve internal processes and consistently communicate with stakeholders.
- Draft internal documentation, workflows and procedures concerning safety and data disclosure
- Keep accurate records and clearly articulate operational decisions
- Work on sensitive issues that include child exploitation, graphic violence, self-injury and other content which may be considered offensive or disturbing

What should I bring with me?
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
- Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to analyse and accurately process data in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines
- Experience in the use of analytical tools and online research
- Knowledge of legal process (e.g., criminal warrants and judicial orders).
- Be a team player who is willing to tackle challenging issues in a collaborative manner with your teammates in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment

Preferred Qualification
- Fluency in another language (e.g. Urdu, Bengali, Japanese, Korean) would be beneficial as your role will be working with different stakeholders across these regions
- Bachelor's degree in law, criminal justice or similar.
