DESIGNATION : Manager, POS System Support
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Retail Tech team provides efficient and effective support to the Retail Business Unit of FairPrice Group. One of our core responsibilities is to manage the Point-Of-Sales systems as well as other in-store technology for the Brick & Mortar stores. We take a user-centric approach in our everyday operations and with the goal of improving customer in-store experience.
We are looking for a passionate “POS Systems Expert” to lead and develop end-to-end POS Systems landscape at FairPrice.
- Leading and mentoring the team, performing scheduled staff reviews, communicating and adhering to new procedures, policies and goals.
- Monitoring and conducting quality control to reduce errors to improve procedures.
- Establishing, recommending and implementing policies, new software and technologies to ensure quality, timely and efficient design.
- Working effectively with other teams, implementing strategies to increase profitability, productivity and overall user experience.
- Handling escalated issues from users/customers, providing guidance for problems and questions.
- Administering full life cycle for vendor management processes and incorporating best practices.
- Analyzed vendor management programs and identified continuous improvement processes.
- Leadership, program management, communication skills working with technical staff, senior management, internal/external stakeholders
- Mix of exceptional team management, technology ownership, ability to manage and mentor team members, coupled with strong interface skills working with the business stakeholders
- Responsible for partnership and collaboration with various cross-functional teams like product management, process, project and Program management, infrastructure, operations, business teams
- Managed budgets and drive financial discipline to achieve business outcomes in a profitable manner
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
- Prior experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in the Retail IT sector.
- Must have experience in retail Point-Of-Sales solutions and latest retail technologies.
- Must have In-depth knowledge and understanding of the retail sector.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus.
- High degree of independence, initiative, responsibility and accountability, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, attention to details
