**What the role is**

This position is in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences, which offers the Diploma in Psychology Studies.

**What you will be working on**
- Design, prepare and develop teaching and learning materials (for face-to-face and online learning) and assessments.
- Be attuned to the latest developments in the field of Psychology, Counselling or Community Psychology, and/or the Social Service Sector.
- Conduct and facilitate student-industry collaborations and take an active role in engagement with industry.
- Supervise students in research projects that may be quantitative and/or qualitative in nature.
- Mentor and motivate students and inspire them to actively participate in student life and developmental activities, such as local and overseas learning trips.
- Provide academic and career guidance to students
- Take on additional duties as necessary (e.g. committee work and outreach events).

**What we are looking for**
- A tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social Work, with specialisations in Counselling or Community Psychology preferred.
- Minimum three years of relevant industry experience.
- A passion and genuine interest to share knowledge and interact with youths and/or adults.
- Have strong industry linkages to enable collaboration and engagement with industry partners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate high levels of professionalism, and willingness to invest in continuous learning.
- Adopt scientific and empirical perspectives in working with colleagues, industry partners and students.
- IT-savvy, and able to utilize learning technologies to enhance the learning of students.
