
Technical Service Sales Manager

**Position Summary:
As the Technical Service Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success and efficiency of our Service Department. Your primary focus will be on optimizing departmental performance, enhancing profitability, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will lead a dynamic team, manage resources effectively, and collaborate closely with other departments to achieve strategic goals.
**Key Duties**:
- **Operational Leadership**:Direct and oversee the daily functions of the Service Department to boost growth and profitability. Manage scheduling, allocate resources, and maintain optimal team levels.
Monitor financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and effective control of inventory and equipment.
- **Team Development**:Lead, mentor, and motivate the Service Department team to achieve high performance and job satisfaction.
Create a supportive work environment and offer ongoing training and development opportunities.
- **Client Relationship Management**:Build and nurture relationships with current and prospective service clients to drive business expansion.
Explore opportunities to enhance service offerings through upselling and cross-selling.
- **Financial Oversight**:Manage the collection of payments from service clients, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of outstanding accounts.
- **Growth Initiatives**:Support the expansion of the Preventative Maintenance segment, working towards defined growth objectives.
- **Technical Support**:Provide expert advice to potential clients on service requirements for our product range.
- **Quotation and Proposal Management**:Prepare and deliver comprehensive quotations for product servicing, repair, or installation requests.
- **Service Scheduling and Coordination**:Communicate clearly with clients regarding service appointments and coordinate with service teams to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
- **Quality Control**:Ensure that all services rendered meet the company’s high-quality standards and client expectations.
- **Production Support**:Assist in generating accurate production documentation to ensure products are manufactured to client specifications.
- **Invoicing and Documentation**:Prepare necessary documentation and manage invoicing for serviced products, ensuring prompt and accurate billing.
- **Incident Management**:Report significant incidents or potential liabilities to the Directors, including product or public liabilities, workers' compensation issues, and legal concerns.
- **Policy Adherence**:Ensure all departmental activities are conducted in line with company policies and procedures.
**Key Requirements:
- **Relevant Experience**:Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- **Strong Financial Skills**:Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and debt collection.
- **Education Background**:Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering field is preferred.
- **Technical and Industry Knowledge**:In-depth understanding of relevant technical aspects and service delivery processes.
- **Leadership and Adaptability**:Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams, adapt to changing conditions, and implement improvements.
