**Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain UNIX operating systems on standalone and virtual machine (LPAR/VIO, LDOM and VM );
- Detect, diagnose, and report UNIX related problems on servers;
- Provide daily support for management for all of Unix operating system including capacity utilization, OS patches, storage allocation, volume management, and hardware maintenance;
- Manage operating system installation and administration of all UNIX environments;
- Collect and review system data for capacity and planning purposes. Analyses capacity data and develops capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems. Coordinates with appropriate management personnel in implementing changes;
- Perform OS hardening by following standard policy;
- Maintain documentation of AIX hardware and software components and user and operator procedures;
- Perform performance maintenance routines to ensure continuous system availability;
- Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

**Requirements**:

- A good degree with hands-on experience in the following areas:

- AIX/Solaris and RHEL recent versions, performance monitoring and tuning tools, installation options, problem determination and recovery;
- Ansible playbooks and Automation is mandatory;
- Containers / Kubernetes an added advantage;
- IBM architectures, Oracle Servers and Dell server technology;
- Writing and debugging shell scripts in a standard UNIX shell;
- NIM, UNIX performance tuning and capacity planning;
- High availability architectures and concepts (HACMP/PowerHA, Solaris Cluster, Veritas Cluster and Pacemaker Linux);
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with clients and co-workers;
- Able to multi-tasked and work within a tight deadline
