Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Unix Engineer with expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), OpenShift, JBoss, and Red Hat Satellite . The successful candidate will manage and optimise Unix/Linux environments, support container platforms, and ensure system availability, performance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain RHEL systems across development, testing, and production.
  • Design, implement, and support OpenShift container platforms .
  • Administer and troubleshoot JBoss application servers .
  • Utilise Red Hat Satellite for provisioning, patching, and configuration management.
  • Implement security controls and compliance standards .
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and maintenance .
  • Develop and maintain system documentation .
  • Work closely with developers to support application deployment .
  • Participate in on-call rotations for mission-critical infra.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field .
  • 5+ years of Unix/Linux system administration experience (focus on RHEL).
  • Strong hands-on experience with OpenShift , JBoss , and Red Hat Satellite .
Required Skills:
  • Advanced RHEL administration & troubleshooting .
  • Shell scripting (Bash) and Python automation.
  • Strong grasp of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall) .
  • Knowledge of Ansible / Puppet for configuration management.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, ELK).
