**Location: Bras Basah (walkable distance from Dhoby Ghaut/ Bencoolen MRT)**
**Duration: 2 Year Contract (renewable)**
**Salary: Up to $5000 (salary depending on experience)**
**Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
**Key Responsibilities**:
**You will provide Payroll and Benefits design, advisory and support in Asia Pacific with an emphasis on Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau and South Korea.**
**Job Duties**:
- Manage the accuracy of payroll, employee data and oversees local compliance requirements in daily operations to avoid potential risks
- Be responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the salaries, social insurance payment, submission of local tax reporting for employees
- Administer and coordinate benefits enrollment and renewals of benefits plans with service providers (ensure policies are renewed in a timely manner and ensure it does not lapse), leave of absence (LOA), and workers’ compensation processes
- Participate in Compensation and Benefits (C&B) surveys and bring to Team Lead on HR trends in the market that can be adopted to compete for talents
- Conduct market reviews to design proven strategies for proposals to ensure Company’s benefits packages and policies are compliant
- Local legislation / compliance data gathering and distribution to Team Lead as appropriate
- Delivery of HR Operational tasks (including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, transfer, assignments, employment pass, employment certification letters, HR queries) efficiently with high service standard and quality, within service level agreements (SLAs)
- Identify pain points in a timely manner by undertaking regular reviews and flag out to the Team Lead with an alternative / solution
- Develop effective communication and relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors (outsourcing service partners) to achieve seamless and smooth operations
- Value add by ideating solutions and propose effective alternatives to meet different Business Units (BU) requirements
- Dare to step out of your comfort zone by going beyond your role and responsibilities and find effective workarounds and solutions
**Requirements**:
- **Minimum of 6 years’ HR / relevant experience**:
- **Bachelor degree in related discipline preferred**:
- **Someone who enjoys ideating solutions and seek challenges yet be detail oriented, and has excellent analytical skills to research and evaluate benefits programs to make informed choices**
- **Ability to understand HR policies, work visa procedures and current best practice within APAC region, and present information clearly in a manner that is understandable to stakeholders and answers questions raised**:
- **Knowledge of local regulations with regard to the processing of health and retirement benefits and have experience in managing leave of absence, time-off, and workers’ compensation programs**:
- **Ability to operate with a large degree of autonomy and be proactive**:
- **Able to communicate and bring up issues efficiently with clarity, has a customer service mindset and portray strong analytical and problem-solving skills**:
- **Proficient in English and Mandarin as have to liaise with China counterparts; hence able to read and type Chinese (pinyin) and English**
