DESIGNATION : Grant Administrator, School of Computing and Information Systems
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide timely help to faculty PIs (Principal Investigator) on their research grants, such as virements/ expenditures/ billings.
- Support the faculty PIs in grant usage and reporting.
- Provide timely support to faculty PIs on reporting to funder, expenditure and procurement related matters pertaining to their project.
- Manage all research grants budget such as procurements, expenditures and billings.
- Responsible for the proper maintenance of all records and the preparation of information for all mandatory external audits.
- Accountable to the project funders in the processing of all requisitions (reimbursements).
- Prepares, analyses and submits periodic reporting on grant utilization.
- Ensures all procedures and practices are consistent with SMU and funders’ policies and in compliance with local statutory requirements.
- Aids in annual financial year closure and budgeting activities.
- Renders admin support to events pertaining to the projects, when required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Bachelor degree with 5 years of working experience.
- Ability to work independently and possess strong follow-through skills.
- Decisive, work well under pressure and meticulous.
- Experience with research grant management will be an advantage.
- Excellent planning and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
