**A Snapshot**:
As the Technical Director - High Voltage & Utility, reporting to the Senior Technical Director, you will work collaboratively with Technology, Development, and Operations Teams across the APAC region, making your mark in several ways:

- Develop, maintain, and own the AirTrunk HV Specification
- Develop unique building scale HV designs, downstream of the campus infrastructure or ESA point of connection for a single building
- Integrating new technologies to achieve Net Carbon Zero targets: BESS, solar, embedded generation

**Your Day to Day**:

- Liaise with the Electrical Supply Authorities to switch and transform the transmission voltage [11kV to 275kV] to the AirTrunk campus distribution voltage [33kV to 6.6kV] for 100MW+ capacities
- Collaborating with the Energy & Utility Manager to peer review and manage the AirTrunk standard HV campus design
- Assisting the Site Selection and Masterplanning Teams to select and plan the campuses
- Internal peer review of HV designs, proposed equipment and GC submissions
- Involvement in Safety-in-Design lifecycle
- Maintain consistency across all the AirTrunk APAC campuses
- Facilitate the integration of grid-connected BESS and other technologies
- Develop AirTrunk's HV on-site networks to be as safe as possible, meeting or exceeding local code requirements and industry best practice
- Develop and manage the HV network design on new and existing AirTrunk networks, advising on primary and secondary distribution, SCADA, earthing, and DC systems
- Provide continual improvement to the existing HV systems designs by collaborating with the technology team during design phases to give key HV operational input
- Specify and review AirTrunk's HV network owner-supplied equipment (OSE) to all applicable specifications and required standards
- Negotiate at a technical level with electrical supply authorities, assist Energy Team with the negotiation of contracts and tariffs with the energy retailers
- Assist the Development Team's Utility Power Engineer to provide technical assistance during construction work. Work with the Operation Team's Electrical Systems Specialist in the resolution of incident-related, standing, or emerging problems that fall outside of the local operation's capacity.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and system improvements
- Assist in the successful resolution of post construction-related punch list items
- Assist project and commissioning engineers with electrical-related issues when required
- Assist Development Team reviews and provide operational guidance to designs
- Periodic visits to regions within APAC for factory testing, site visits, and ESA discussion

**Requirements**:

- Professional qualifications [degree minimum] with specific post-graduate power engineering qualifications. A registered professional engineer in the country of residence.
- Extensive experience with a utility, equipment vendor, or in electrical contracting as a HV Engineer delivering 10MW+ projects, minimum 10 years, previous Asia-Pacific experience preferred.
- Experience with the Transmission & Distribution industry as it relates to infrastructure and energy retailing
- Excellent technical knowledge of HV systems and assets such as switchgear, transformers, and protection relays
- In-depth knowledge of secondary controls systems such as protection & SCADA systems
- Flexible, organised to manage workload to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Strong communicator and ability to interact with all professional levels within an organisation
- Professional attitude with persuasive skills in making things happen.
- Willingness to travel throughout Asia-Pacific
