[What the role is]

You will manage a lush and vibrant garden to serve the recreational and lifestyle pursuits of our community. You will contribute towards the greening, maintenance, sustainability, education, programmes and conservation of our green landscape through careful and dedicated management of the garden and its facilities. The Garden is also a sustainability and living lab for innovation and technology.

[What you will be working on]

**Position 1 (Horticulture/ Arboriculture Management)**

You will be responsible for the horticulture and arboriculture management of Jurong Lake Gardens:

- Horticulture maintenance of trees, shrubs and lawns, and rejuvenation of landscapes in Jurong Lake Gardens
- Plant introduction, performance assessment and propagation
- Conceptualisation and implementation of horticulture outreach programmes and volunteer engagement
- Assist in park operations and events

**Position 2 (Programming and Events) [two positions available]**

You will be responsible for the running of educational and horticulture programmes of Jurong Lake Gardens:

- Sharing about NParks and what goes into the building of the 3rd national garden
- Assist, create and/or develop programming materials for children/adults such as craftwork and educational materials as well as adult programs (e.g. horticulture and terrarium workshops, guided walks)
- Assist in the running of Garden festival programmes, lifestyle and core events that may include working with people with special needs
- Creating JLG garden collaterals
- Public, volunteer and stakeholder engagement and management
- Assist with biodiversity and other surveys

**Position 3 (Visitor Service Management)**

You will be responsible for Visitor Service Management at Jurong Lake Gardens:

- Understand garden visitor behaviour and needs to implement solutions to improve visitor service and delivery for a better visitor experience
- Review, enhance and update the Garden’s website
- Respond to visitor feedback and enquiry through the feedback management system
- Develop publicity materials to promote the Garden
- Engage event organisers and facilitate venue rentals and bookings

Apart from the specific job duties for each position above, you will be involved in a diverse range of activities, including educational and outreach, programming and volunteer management, events, park surveys and citizen science projects.

[What we are looking for]
- Degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Landscape Design, Hospitality, Service, Events Management or related disciplines
- Enjoy working outdoors, doing field work and interacting with people
- Keen interest in nature, plants, greenery and environmental horticulture
- Able to multi-task in performing a diverse range of duties, including enforcement when required
- Self-motivated and an effective team leader
- Possess good interpersonal and writing skills to connect with various stakeholders
- Willing to work after office hours and during weekends and public holidays when required
