**Responsibilities**:
Product Merchandising:
- Develop a consumer-centric APAC shopDisney Product range plan, aligning product assortment with big bets and seasonal / thematic events in each franchise for assigned categories
- Develop, in partnership with Marketing & Digital experience team, a weekly product launch plan ensuring newness and excitement for APAC shopDisney
- Drive commercial top-line and bottom-line growth on shopDisney through the ownership of local pricing
- Work in close partnership with market trading teams to gain insights on sales trends, consumer’s online shopping behavior and competitor analysis to deliver an optimal, trend-right & consumer-centric product assortment on shopDisney
- Own price setting for respective markets and ensure margins are in line with Company’s financial guideline
Third Party Licensee/Vendor Management & Product Development:
- Manage partnerships with third party licensees, formulating assortment & buy plans that are appropriate for shopDisney
- Drive and own business discussion with third party licensees including pricing & margins
- Work in partnership with third party licensees to develop exclusive product ranges for shopDisney
- Drive the product development process with product development, creative, sourcing & product integrity team
- Work closely with Merchandising Operations on vendor on boarding process
Retail Buying & Planning:
- Work hand-in-hand with planning team to own the end-to-end buy strategy from assortment planning, buy plan, promotions planning to markdown planning to deliver sales and margin targets for shopDisney APAC
- Partner with planning & digital experience team to drive weekly trading insights reporting & formulate tactical sales strategies
- Formulate future buy plans based on sales result to drive optimized sales, margins and inventory levels
- Work hand-in-hand with planning, finance & trading to drive franchise mix, category sales and margins mix in weekly/monthly forecasting & budget planning
Site Merchandising:
- Develop a go-to-market view of how products & categories will come to life on shopDisney site and drive the execution of site merchandising with marketing & merchandising managers to deliver a magical Disney experience online
- Partner with Site Production and Site Merchandising team on the process of product handoff/enhancement to ensure product content integrity on shopDisney
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail merchandising and/or buying
- Proven experience working in branded consumer environments with an appreciation of eCommerce business is critical
- Proven track record in managing and implementing merchandising & planning for APAC region
- Possess good knowledge of end-to-end product development process
- Proven experience working cross-functionally
- Proven experience in working in dynamic, cross-cultural team
- Knowledge of eCommerce behaviour, trends and strategy
- A strong understanding of consumer mentality and consumer empathy
- Strong project management skills including conceptualization, driving alignment, planning resources, supervising objectives and test plans, and deriving learnings
- You like to identify projects with the greatest impact and have a track record of making a difference
- An excellent communicator and comfortable presenting at all levels internally and externally.
- Comfortable working in a start up environment, take ownership, an inventive problem-solver, and maintain a high level of accountability
- Collaborate well with others and thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Comfortable with multi-tasking and delivering to your goals as planned
