Singapore ST ENGINEERING SATELLITE SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. Full time

ST Engineering Satellite Systems Pte Ltd won the President's Technology Award in 2016, “For the organisations’ outstanding contributions to the advancement of Singapore’s satellite engineering and systems capabilities, with the successful development, launch and operation of TeLEOS-1, Singapore’s first commercial earth observation satellite”.

These satellites orbit at 7km every second; going round the Earth every 100 minutes, generating high resolution imagery of the Equatorial Belt. The huge amount of data generated from on board imagery sensors means that the team must design and deliver faster and more reliable wireless datalinks including, broadband datalinks, capable of operating across thousands of kilometres.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, Test and Integration of Digital MODEMS, including Baseband Error Correction and Digital Signal Processing Hardware
- FPGA design architecture definition
- Fixed point system simulations
- RTL coding and test bench development
- FPGA design synthesis and timing closure
- Hardware verification and troubleshooting
- Design, Test and Integration of RF Modules into Spacecraft
- Launch and Early Orbit Support of the Spacecraft

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Good degree in an Electrical or Computer engineering discipline.
- Passion in Space, Signal Processing or radio design and communication.

**PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Good degree in electrical engineering with emphasis in Digital Signal Processing.
- Knowledge of digital communication systems and modulation types
- Some knowledge of channel coding such as LDPC, Reed-Solomon or convolutional codes.
- Some knowledge of VHDL, Modelsim, MATLAB, Python or equivalent tools for design, modelling and analysing of RF Signal Chains would be an advantage.
