Job Title:

DSP Algorithm Developer

The position of DSP Algorithm Developer involves the development and implementation of novel digital signal processing algorithms optimized for specific target DSP architectures and audio applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Algorithm Development: Design, develop, and validate proprietary speech/hearing algorithms developed in-house using theoretical signal processing concepts or prototypes.
  • Algorithm Evaluation and Benchmarking: Evaluate and benchmark algorithms suitable for embedded DSP or ARM processors.

Core Responsibilities:

  • DSP Algorithm Design and Implementation: Convert theoretical signal processing concepts into efficient algorithms optimized for embedded DSP or ARM processors.
  • Collaboration with Audio Research Team: Collaborate with an Audio Research team to evaluate and benchmark advanced algorithms.
  • Product Development and Verification: Work closely with sales and engineering teams throughout the productization process and participate in verification and testing of developed algorithms and software modules.
  • Code Quality Assurance and Defect Resolution: Conduct design and code reviews and analyze and eliminate defects identified in developed solutions.
  • Software Development Process Adherence: Follow the defined software development process established by the team and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Algorithm Maintenance and Improvement: Enhance or update existing software algorithms as needed and explore opportunities to improve algorithm functionality and usability.
  • Collaboration with Partners and Suppliers: Work effectively with company partners and suppliers to foster collaborative development and integration of components.

Requirements:

  • A degree in engineering with exposure to signal processing applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in embedded real-time firmware development with an emphasis on computational complexity.
  • DSP development and implementation experience, preferably with a focus on audio implementation.
  • Proficient in C/C++ and Shell scripting.
