Senior Research Scientist

To enable this, AMILI uses cutting-edge data analytics and is building the world’s largest multi-ethnic gut microbiome reference database to allow the discovery of both clinical and wellness-focused health interventions.
Job Responsibilities:
ANALYTICS & LAB FOCUS
- Analyse data generated from AMILI’s assays, consolidate and communicate key scientific findings, and generate report for clients
- Provide scientific inputs into AA projects for potential and existing clients
- Participate in laboratory activities, including stool sample processing, genomic DNA extraction, and microbiome analysis.
- Cultivate robust relationships with stakeholders and clients to drive revenue growth and success
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, and reports for potential and existing clients
- Represent AMILI at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Supervise laboratory experiment designs e.g. for new bioscience developments, validation methods, quality control and other purposes that will contribute to the Company’s commercial and scientific understanding
- Review and advise on protocol optimization used by the Operations team in day-to-day processing
- Attend conferences, webinars and other externally hosted events that are relevant regarding different technology and potential increase in company feasibilityCross-functional communication to understand scientific needs for new products or client satisfaction, propose study design and present recommendations based on results.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Nutrition / Chemistry / Microbiology or related fields
- More than 6 years of relevant work experience
- Experience or knowledge in microbiology and/or molecular biology laboratory techniques a must
- Independent, pro-active and thrive in a fast pace and dynamic environment
- Meticulous with strong analytical and communication skills
- Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Good to have: Experience using R and/or Python for data analysis
