We do the best we can to make pets feel safe and comfortable, and we don’t just pay lip service to it. Which is why we work on one client before we move to the next, rather than grooming in mass quantities.

**Requirements for groomers**:

- Safety and quality. E.g. Not rushing the grooming, tools handled properly, pets leashed on the table and all aspects of their safety taken into consideration.
- Taking customers’ instructions, taking calls if other co-workers are busy.
- Willingness to take feedback.
- To reduce miscommunication, a decent command of the English language is preferred.
- 3 month probation.
- Should be able to do 4-7 full grooming a day.

$2200 and above for groomers with 1-year experience. Groomers with more experience, wages will correspond with experience and skill.

**However, please do consider the following**:

- Grooming is a very physically and emotionally demanding job. Many groomers start young but only a handful manage to work pass 40 years of age.
- We don’t earn a lot of money.
- Most pets do not like grooming. Some downright hate it and they will hate you.
- Accidents do happen and as animal lovers, we tend to blame ourselves a little too much.
- It’s a dirty job. Just ask any groomers if any of them enjoy the smell of anal glands.
