**Requirements**:
- Provide assistance to the Head of Departments to develop and implement stragetic plans - may include developing short and long-term plans for BCAPD APAC to ensure its growth and sustainability.
- Managing and assessing risks that could impact the bank’s operations such as identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies and monitory the effectivess of these strategies.
- Managing regulatory compliance and ensuring the countries in APAC comply with all relevant local regulations, laws and Head Office guidelines.
- Ensuring financial stability which involves developing and managing budget allocations to countries and headcount management for BCAPD APAC within stipulated gudielines.
- Leading and managing teams across the various groups by ensuring the members are aligned with the organisation’s goals and objectives - fostering a culture of continous improvement, collaboration and teamwork.
- Supporting Head of Departments on people management within BCAPD APAC such as talent mobility to groom younger generation leaders and driving performance management.
- Managing effective communications with Head Office, Countries Heads and GMs and Group Heads within BCAPD, Business & Control Functions Heads and relevant authorities whenever necessary.
**Requirements**:
- At least bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as business administration or banking and finance.
- Relevant experience in areas of strategic planning, risk management, compliance or operations management (including overseas operations), budget management and internal controls managment will be advantageous.
- Strong and effective communication skills are essential to manage stakeholders relationships.
- Possess a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance are adhered.
- Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans and goals.
- Strong anaytics skills in assessing risks and opportunties to make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Japanese language is preferred as this role needs to provide regular reports to liaise with Head Office.
