[What the role is]
We are looking for highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team to safeguard the environmental and public health of Singapore. You will be part of the Vector Control and Operations Division, responsible for planning and implementing vector-borne diseases surveillance, prevention, and control programmes. An evidence-based, integrated vector management approach underpins the work that the Division does and requires close partnership and concerted efforts by multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders. This is a fast-paced and dynamic working environment that requires you to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

**[What you will be working on]**

You will be responsible for the following:

- Working in partnership with a diverse team to identify clusters of vector-borne diseases and conduct epidemiological investigations into mosquito-borne disease outbreaks, to facilitate the conduct of vector control operations to break disease transmission cycle.
- Prepare spot maps of dengue cluster areas to show geographical distribution of mosquito vector data and epidemiological data to guide and assess the progress of vector control operations activities
- Conduct data analysis to support vector-borne disease surveillance and vector control operations planning.
- Handle queries from members of the public, media and stakeholders on vector-borne diseases.
- Maintain and review work processes for effective data management
- Work with Information Technology (IT) department to develop and/or enhance IT system(s) for effective and efficient data-sharing.
- Work with relevant departments and agencies to investigate and resolve any technical issues encountered by the team.
- Any other duties related to vector control work

**[What we are looking for]**

**Requirements**:

- Have a passion for environmental public health, particularly in the control of vector-borne diseases
- Have good analytical reasoning and able to perform data management and analytics work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficient in ArcGIS Pro or QGIS for geospatial visualisation and analysis will be an advantage
- Proficient in Python, R or SQL will be an advantage
- A committed team player with good communications/interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Pay attention to the finer details
- Organised and able to multi-task
- Mature, independent, and resourceful
- Highly self-motivated
- Able to work after office hours, weekends and public holidays if required
