**YOUR ROLE**

ST is hiring a Global Trade Compliance Leader for the Asia Region. This role, reporting to the GVP Head of Corporate Trade Compliance, will be responsible for managing and deploying ST Trade Compliance programs and providing strategic compliance leadership to the Region.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Driving the trade compliance governance strategy and execution in the Asia region.
- Managing the regional trade compliance programs, procedures, systems, risk assessments, audit plans and relationship with the authorities to ensure compliance with applicable Strategic goods/dual use control regulations.
- Managing other trade and customs compliance regional requirements and act as the escalation point to provide functional expertise and resolution.
- Provide expertise and guidance in support of Corporate Trade compliance initiatives and roadmap, including automation, training programs and continuous improvement.
- Partnering with regional leadership and key functions - including, Sales & distribution, Asia Business management, Manufacturing sites, Logistics, Outsourced manufacturing, Finance, Audit & Risk - to support company's growth and priorities in the region.
- Leading and inspiring a team of trade compliance professionals in multiple countries and jurisdictions in Asia, including China, Philippines, Hong Kong and Singapore.
- Overseeing the evolution of trade rules and due diligence requirements to ensure our trade compliance programs are effective in identifying and mitigating all related risks.
- Acting as ST principal SME within Regional trade associations and local regulators.

**YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES**
- Minimum 10-year experience in trade compliance as manager or above
- Minimum bachelor's degree, Master preferred in related majors.
- Knowledge of SAP GTS preferred
- Knowledge of export controls & regulations in relevant Asian countries. Experience with US Export Regulations and EU dual use regulations required,
- Strong management skills to lead and coach a diverse group of regional trade compliance managers based in different countries.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
