**What the role is**

EXECUTIVE ENGINEER, VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY

**What you will be working on**

You will play an integral role as part of the team that drives LTA's strategic interest in shaping the next generation transport system for Singapore. You will be at the technology forefront and developing technical and regulatory requirements for the integration of new vehicle technologies into our roads and public transport system. They include advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs). You are also expected to support the safety evaluation of such vehicle technologies proposed for public road trials as well as for registration and regular use. You will work with various stakeholders within and beyond the LTA to operationalise cybersecurity strategies and policies concerning CAV safety including evaluating the safety impact of cybersecurity risks as well as recommend risk mitigation measures to minimise their safety impacts on our roads. You will need to keep abreast of the latest trends in new and emerging vehicle technologies to provide foresight to the project team in the development and implementation of vehicle functional safety control measures to enhance vehicle safety and roadworthiness.

**What we are looking for**
- Tertiary qualification in related Engineering fields (Computer, Robotics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, or equivalent)
- At least 2-3 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in safety risk management, systems engineering, automotive-related field in information.
- Experience in the area of automotive cybersecurity risks and controls, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, compliance and adoption of cybersecurity best-practices will be an advantage.
- Having a keen interest in automotive and transportation research, resourceful with good writing and presentation skills
- Highly adaptable, able to lead, work independently and multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge in the following areas will be an advantage:

- cybersecurity standards (e.g. ISO/SAE 21434, etc.) and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27000, NIST cybersecurity framework, etc.);
- in-vehicle networks (e.g. CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet/WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.);
- programming languages (e.g. C++, Python, JavaScript, Robotic Operating System, etc.) and robotic systems (e.g. computer vision, lidar, sensor fusion, perception, motional planning and control, etc.); and/or;
- quality engineering (e.g. acceptable quality limit, batch testing, etc.)
