[What the role is]

Deputy Director, Vehicle Quota & Registration

[What you will be working on]

You will lead a team to manage and regulate the operations of all matters related to the vehicle quota and registration of all motor vehicles, including e-scooters, in Singapore. You will formulate operational policies and strategies for the effective implementation of vehicle ownership and registration policies, proper collection of vehicle taxes and fees, and fair bidding and allocation of Certificates of Entitlement and vehicle registration numbers. In the course of your work, you will need to work with other LTA divisions and external agencies/entities, and develop a good understanding of the motor vehicle industry.

You will also oversee and manage the Vehicle Quota and Registration Division, constantly review, streamline and transform the day-to-day operational framework and processes. You are responsible for the staff and career development of your officers.

[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification in any discipline
- At least 8 to 10 years of public service or operations experience, with 3 to 4 years in a managerial capacity. At least 8 years of experience with managing operations, with minimum 3 years in a managerial capacity
- Ability to analyse complex issues and systems
- In-depth understanding of vehicle policies and experience with their implementation and operationalisation
- General knowledge and understanding of computer systems and law
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- A person with high integrity
- Ability to work under pressure
