Singapore WRIST FAR EAST (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD Full time

Reporting to the BTO Purchasing Technical Manager, the BTO Technical Purchaser sources all technical stores according to customers' requirements and client related information provided by the Sales Department.

The purpose of the BTO Purchaser is to buy to order on specific RFQs, ensuring that Company is able to deliver on the order in a timely manner and in a cost competitive way.

The BTO Purchaser is responsible for obtaining quotes for items not in stock and ensuring all activities from order follow up through to invoice management are handled effectively. The BTO Purchaser is also responsible invoice approvals for BTO codes and minimize usage on MISC items.

**SPECIFIC MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Make recommendations on assortment changes
- Receive, tender and reply to customer quotes
- Respond to RFQ’s, obtaining quotes for goods not in stock, with best pricing
- Execute BTO orders, incl. invoice clearing, return goods, etc.
- In collaboration with Sales, to provide timely and complete order confirmation
- Translate customer codes to code, reducing MISC items usage and taking advantage of prior experience and knowledge about the customer
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure all items are available for timely delivery
- Purchase goods to order from preferred vendors in accordance with vendor trade agreements and contracts
- Execute BTO orders, incl. invoice clearing, return goods, etc.
- Communicate with local vendors on operational level ensuring smooth and Just In Time deliveries
- Manage the invoice approval process
- Collaborate extensively with Sales and Procurement teams
- Maintain and develop procurement SOP’s with in respective area
- Ensuring that all quotations are submitted to respective sales representatives within customer’s deadline

**Job Requirement**
- GCE ‘O’ level or Maritime relevant disciplines (preferred)
- A minimum of 2 years Purchasing experience in ship supply business
- Possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills
- A good team player who can also work independently
- Growth mindset, proactive and self-motivated
- Able to work under stress in a fast paced environment
