First Line Business Compliance - VP

Key Responsibilities

The position encompasses the following duties:

- Facilitate risk and control updates to management including preparation of meeting materials for Singapore and Regional risk governance and control committee (“Business Risk Management Committee (BRMC)”), conduct quarterly BRM meetings and follow up on issues (both Singapore and APAC) and ongoing enhancement and maintenance of the BRM framework.
- Monitor and track APAC compliance and audit issues, manage action plan implementation & ensure timely closure.
- Participate in compliance projects & implementation of compliance initiatives/program (led by 2nd line Compliance).
- Conduct introductory trainings, and refresher as and when required, business compliance checks (e.g., marketing materials) and follow-up with respective staff for any findings or potential risk identified.
- Support annual financial crime risk assessment in data extraction, analysis, and calibration and Risk and Control Self-Assessment (Operational risk)
- Advise Business on Compliance-related matters.
- Carry out ad-hoc tasks assigned by department Head and the Management.

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of compliance or audit experience in Banking/ Financial Institutions; Good knowledge of business risk and/or compliance risk; Good grasp of banking regulations is a plus.
- Tertiary qualifications in accountancy, finance or business administration or CPA.
- Excellent skills in MS Office (Excel), PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and organization skills, adaptable to changes, keen eye for details, able to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, result-oriented, and a team player.
- Engaging/able to manage communications with personnel of different seniority.
- Good communication and writing skills (English).
