CAMP MANAGER / YOUTH CAMP TRAINER POSITION

We are global educational holiday camps provider with operations in Singapore, UK, and Australia.

We are currently recruiting staff for our camp runs between June and August 2018. Our camp students will be between 8-18 years old coming from China, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and Laos, among other countries.

Camp Manager / Youth camp trainer role

The camp manager is the key position at Bluesky English and leadership camps. It’s an 'all-rounder ‘on the ground’ roles which require excellent leadership skill, attention to details, and impeccable organisation skill.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a Team

Lead a team of camp counselors; ensuring a high level of professionalism, good judgement and respectful behaviour at all times.

Conduct daily team briefings with camp counselors.

Manage counselors to run afternoon/evening activities and oversee the organisation of students.

Logistics and Camp Operations

Accompany students on excursions to ensure logistics and all aspects of the program run smoothly.

Liaise with transport operators, activity centres and outside contractors.

Ensure the camp activity timetable is strictly adhered to and activities begin promptly.

**JOB REQUIREMENT**
Safety and Welfare

Be vigilant and properly assess environmental risks during camp excursions.

Be contactable at all times, respond quickly to any problems.

Support the Emergency Management Procedure, and ensure that all appropriate risk assessments are adhered to.

Take appropriate measures to ensure safety of students and staff at all times, including stopping and adapting activities if required.

Maintain first aid supplies and administer basic first aid if required.

Maintain incident report manual, including all accidents and near misses.

Key Requirements

Calm under pressure with good communication skills and approachable demeanor

Strong leadership, time-management and organisational skills

Experience working with students 8-18 years and possessing a fun and energetic style.

Ability to work flexible hours and having a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

Available to commit a minimum of 2 weeks camp run June to August 2018 and able to stay in NUS residence / or similar boarding facilities together with summer camp students for the entire 2 weeks.

Willing to participate in all aspects of the program, as and when it is required and agreed in advance.
- Having relevant qualifications in emergency first aid / CPR qualification is an advantage.

Remuneration: 1400 SGD per 2 week project with 300 SGD bonus payment. Meals and transport during the camps are provided.
