**The **Role**:APAC Strategy and Operations Lead
The MI APAC Strategy and Operations Lead is accountable for advising and supporting the Head of APAC for S&P Global Market Intelligence to inform management decisions, business priorities, and opportunities to grow the business, as well as optimize efficiencies and manage costs. This role will function as a critical partner of the APAC leadership team and will help drive the business strategy in alignment with the overall division and corporate strategies.
As a key partner to Head of APAC for Market Intelligence, this role will coordinate strategic initiatives such as investment analysis and periodic business and strategy reviews. They will also collaborate with leaders across adjacent functions, including Finance and People. This role will report directly to the Head of Business Strategy and Planning within MI’s OCOO, but the role will be in the APAC region to partner directly with the Head of APAC for Market Intelligence on a day-to-day basis. It will be critical for this person to liaise with Business Line Strategy & Operations Leads to implement strategic priorities, best practices, and consistent operating mechanisms.
**Responsibilities**:
- Management reporting on KPIs including revenue growth, profitability, quality metrics, performance scorecards, tracking of costs and headcount and people analysis
- Implement operating mechanisms and operating models in alignment with division strategy to drive and support growth, realize efficiencies, and increase customer value
- Coordinate internal communications initiatives, such as town-halls and round tables, in partnership with the Communications lead in region
- Monitor strategic market developments and complex product and functional initiatives
- Coordinate development of business cases for investment opportunities within the business
- Manage periodic business reviews and divisional reporting/presentations
- Advise and support the Head of APAC on finance (forecasting, budget) and People (hiring, headcount and people analysis) related matters in partnership with the Finance and People partners in region
- Drive location strategy efforts and partner with regional site leads to assist in BCP for APAC office locations
**What We’re Looking For**:
- Bachelor’s degree; business, economics and/or finance preferred
- 7-10 years relevant experience in a strategic and/or analytical role within a consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, and/or financial technology company
- Exposure to Capital Markets products/operations and knowledge of APAC markets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to lead and influence internal stakeholders
- Strong written/presentation skills in preparation for executive level materials
- Gravitas and earned authority to deal with and manage multiple/senior stakeholders to challenge the status quo and progress business priorities
- Strong organizational and consulting skills, ability to operate in a highly matrixed structure
- Experienced use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Curiosity and demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop meaningful commentary explaining trends in our business
- Demonstrated ability to self-direct and be proactive with a strong business sense, and accountability to meet deadlines
- Unmatched attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams without sacrificing quality
