**What's the Role**:

- Hire, train and lead team of Buyer to support Manufacturing, Spares and New Product requirements
- Drive process improvements for Purchasing function
- Managing purchasing and delivery metrics
- Responsible for planning and implementing activities related to the materials purchase, material control, and inventory control functions
- Responsible for sourcing and negotiation with suppliers for lead times, inventory programs and cost
- Align Purchasing team across Business Unit, Commodity, Geographic and Suppliers
- Interacts internally and externally with executive level management to report on delivery risk and status
- Participate and influence policy making bodies as needed

**Within ASM (Internal)**
- Manage supplies to meet production plans and customer demands
- Assure inventory/supply plans are in place for supply continuity, mínimal excess and obsolescence, and meeting the inventory turns goal
- Review and approve purchases per Global Authority Matrix
- Drive actions for improving supplier delivery performance
- Review shortages and work with internal and external teams to minimize shortages
- Creatively manage supplies through forecast, stocking policies and VMI programs
- Resolve issues on vendor invoice, problematic goods receipt and returns to vendor
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes
- Monitor the cost, schedule and performance aspects of major subcontracts
- Ensure business controls are in place to comply with the company’s SOX requirements
- Ensure processes are in compliance to ISO and other regulatory requirements
- Lead and build a strong team of buyers to manage above deliverables and maintain key performance metrics
- Coaching and building team to meet deliverables in Purchasing
- Lead in any other initiatives as given by supervisor

**Outside of ASM - **refers to Vendors, Suppliers, Customers, Clients**
- Manage supplier relationships, business reviews and scorecards, if needed
- Source, select and manage Indirect vendor to attain the desired performance level in terms of cost, delivery and support services
- Negotiate in assigned commodity to obtain the maximum benefit for the company
- Manage supplier’s performance to achieve required delivery performance
- Develop new sources of supply for required Indirect service/ products

**What Will Make You Successful?**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering / Supply Chain Management (M.B.A.is a plus)
- Minimum 15 years related industry experience in purchasing / production planning and supply chain management; Minimum of 5 years managing direct reports
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and experience in SAP system is highly desirable
- Analytical with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player, self-driven and able to work independently towards achieving company/group objectives
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and to work with a variety of offshore locations
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concepts
- Experience in low volume high mix and VMI / pull manufacturing environment is a plus
