**Roles & Responsibilities**

The Deputy Managing Director shall assist and support the Managing Director and Headquarters in the overall direction, management and administration of the following business functions:
Marketing, Sales Training, Business Development, Grease and Lubricants

The role is also the key contact point for all affiliates in the Asia pacific region including India and Pakistan for all Marketing and Product related issues.

The Deputy Managing Director shall report directly to the Managing Director.

**Job description**:

- Responsible for managing the Marketing & Strategic Planning team.
- To support Managing Director in formulating corporate vision and action plans by setting clear objectives for each function and to see through from planning to execution.
- To work closely with Headquarters in aligning the region’s marketing strategies with HQ overall directions.
- To establish good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and be a bridge between the company, Headquarters and our affiliates and customers in the Asia pacific region
- To oversee the marketing process from research and planning to execution and analysis.
- To ensure company is in compliance to the Singapore and international regulatory controls on areas in Marketing communications, Branding and Product Labelling
- To execute regional action plans in the various functions and provide necessary expertise advice and support to our Asia Pacific in product related and marketing issues
- To translate Marketing & Product Technical business documents from English to Japanese
- To facilitate effective communication between parties that do not speak a common language by translation or interpretation

**Requirements**:

- Excellent command of Japanese Language is required. This role has to communicate in fluent business Japanese as well as writing to liaise with Headquarters in Japan, affiliates and Japanese clients in the Asia Pacific region
- Able to converse in English for daily communications with affiliates and staff
- Able to travel overseas for business trips when necessary in the Asia Pacific region including India and Pakistan
- Minimum Degree in Chemistry or other related fields
- Has at least 10 years of business management experience and also knowledge of lubricants industry.
- Experience in working in a multicultural environment and managing various department functions and affiliates
- Strong leadership skills to drive company strategic marketing activities in Asia Pacific
- Analytical and problem-solving skills and able to think out of the box and come up with creative solutions
