**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain, administer and enhance metadata creation in MARC.
- Develop data analytics reports and dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making and work process improvements.
- Develop scripts to streamline metadata maintenance activities, including cleaning and enhancement of metadata.
- Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing procedures for original and copy cataloguing of all resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create the Library's collection development guidelines.
- Lead and manage project teams effectively, ensuring timely completion of projects that align with the library's strategic goals.

**G**eneral and liaison duties**
- Foster communication between the Library and designated Academic Groups.
- Participate in collection development, including identifying, evaluating and recommending library resources.
- Liaise with NIE community to recruit content for the NIE data and digital repository.
- Communicate, plan and deliver library events and promotional activities.
- Provide information desk services on scheduled evenings and weekends.
- Contribute to library projects, peer training and staff development.

**Requirements**:

- A University degree and a recognised postgraduate qualification in Library and/or Information Science, preferably with a background in cataloguing and metadata creation.
- At least 5 years of professional working experience in cataloguing and classification across various formats in an academic or research library setting.
- The applicant must have experience with RDA, the Library of Congress Classification Schedules, cataloguing in OCLC and MARCEdit.
- Working proficiency in Chinese, Malay or Tamil Cataloguing will be an asset.
- Knowledge or experience in Library Services Platforms like Alma and Primo would be advantageous.
- Knowledge and experience implementing automation projects using tools such as robotic process automation and programming languages such as Python will be an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal, communication (oral and written) and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and innovatively with library colleagues, NIE and external communities.
- A keen learner who is adaptable, innovative and able to work independently and in a team.
