TE is looking for 1 Directing Managing Director (DMD) to help lead and grow the business globally, from the company headquarters in Singapore.

The DMD will be required to take personal ownership of the relationships with a large number of clients (proven as the “trusted advisor”), have a demonstrable track record of becoming intimate with their needs and how TE can support them to maximise value. The DMD will also be required to participate in setting company priorities, strategy and direction, the innovation and development of TE’s offerings, building reputation through appropriate marketing and developing TE’s delivery and support teams. Finally, they will be required to run & support day-to-day operations - ensuring appropriate governance and management systems are in place and followed

Typical responsibilities will include:

- **Business Development**: Creates new opportunities through existing & new client relationships; creates compelling and relevant thought leadership—e.g., industry and technology perspectives, points of view, research, and so on; initiates and conducts sales of advisory/consulting engagements; coordinates with TE’s partners and affiliates globally to identify and follow up on new leads. Invests in deeply understanding each client’s strategic agenda and driving the thinking to add new value with the client’s best interests at heart.
- **Delivery of Advisory / Consulting Engagements**: Assembles appropriate teams from TE’s talent pool and ensures deliverability of project objectives (before, during and after each engagement) utilising TE’s capabilities. Steers engagements directly and assures quality and client satisfaction. Personally becomes trusted advisor of client executives.
- **Strategy, Business and Operations Management**: Works with fellow MDs to ensure TE is managed and run effectively, that TE maintains a clear, compelling and competitor-differentiated value proposition, ensuring an appropriate governance and operating model is in place and effectively implemented. Anticipates market trends and steers company to preparedness and leadership in these by adjusting commercial, business and delivery models. Supports day-to-day allocation of resources; prioritises activities to ensure a suitable balance of client work, business development and IP development; supports company administration as required. Manages complexity when the TE diversifies business models and leads the value delivery to shareholders.
- **Development of Intellectual Capital**: Participates or leads the development of existing, or new, complementary offerings. Understands long term (3-5+ years’) horizon, grows and markets intellectual knowledge utilising TE’s unique capabilities and using this to promote and grow the business. Is recognised in the industry as a thought leader e.g. conceiving and writing articles, speaking at industry conferences and events.
- **People Development**: Develops and grows the TE team, demonstrating a deep interest in the personal and career development of each employee and leading by example. Attracts and retains the best talent to support TE in its mission and in line with the TE values.

**Skills Required**:
The DMD role is a complex and demanding position, requiring a variety of skills.

Demonstrable competencies required:

- Ability to develop and run a technology-driven advisory firm
- Recognized personal Business Consulting Skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience across the Energy Industry (in particular Upstream Oil & Gas)
- Solid grounding in basic theory and principles of geology & geophysics, reservoir and petroleum engineering, drilling & completions, production operations, midstream & downstream processes
- Deep understanding of advanced analytics technologies (descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics) and their impact in the Energy Industry
- Respected by known business executives in the Energy Industry
- Known as a people leader
