Singapore METHODIST GIRLS' SCHOOL (SECONDARY) Full time

**Roles and Responsibilities**

You will serve a key role in assisting the school leaders in operations and facilities management. You will work alongside a team of Executive and Administrative Staff (EAS) to achieve excellence in school operations and facilities management.

Your job include:
Primary role
- Support the school leaders in implementing workplans aligned with school strategic objectives
- Assist the school leaders in developing and maintaining positive relationships with the stakeholders, including parents, vendors, lessees, and the public, while fostering a positive work environment within the school.
- Supervise outsourced cleaning operations and ensure compliance with NEA / government agencies audit requirements.
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning of school activities and events (including external ones when required), and participate in business continuity planning.
- Plan and manage the budget, assets and inventory required for school operations in adherence to the school’s policies. This entails effectively tracking expenses, identifying budget variances and optimizing the budget to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Manage school rental activities involving external vendors and facilities lessees in school.
- Implement security and safety procedures and measures in school and serve as the school Fire Safety Manager (FSM) to highlight safety issues & concerns and provide advice to school leaders.

Secondary role
- Assist in planning and coordinating installations and refurbishments (telecommunications, heating, electricity, water, etc.) for the school.
- Assist in maintaining and meeting environmental and safety standards.
- Assist in identifying areas/facilities that require maintenance, repairs and renovation
- Participate in compliance efforts, such as meeting Green Mark standards and conducting environment audits.
- Serve as the MGS Building Sub-Committee secretariat, including preparing meeting agenda, taking minutes, and supporting school leaders in conducting meetings.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role encompassing operations, logistics, estate management, safety and emergency planning, with a proven track record of delivering good performance
- Strong operational experience and managerial experience in finance budgeting planning will be added advantage.
- Confident and proactive with demonstrated dynamism, resourcefulness in problem solving with a growth mindset.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work with other teams and lead people of various levels.
- Fire Safety Manager Certification would be an advantage.
