**Job Summary**:
This role will lead South East Asia’s strategic and field marketing activities including; market sensing and analysis, development of product portfolio, branding strategy, communication plan, and product life cycle management. In addition to that, he/she will build new capabilities to support marketing initiatives at respective SEA countries e.g., oversee preparation, implementation, execution of product launches, review marketing and promotional programs, and effective product positioning in accordance with strategic priorities.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lead collaboration between regional and country marketing teams to develop, execute, and review portfolio and market segmentation strategies for SEA.
- Provide support to country marketing teams in tactical marketing, new product launches, and sales execution and ensure the plans are consistent with SEA strategies.
- Drive regional and country specific product life cycle management and brand rationalization based on market insights.
- Support SEA Commercial Director in the annual strategic planning and AOP exercise. He/she will work closely with the respective heads for Finance, Operations, MedEd, HR, RA and Legal to consolidate the SEA needs and present a game plan for SEA.
- Initiate and build strong working relationships between regional teams and in-country sales and Marketing teams.
- Conduct regular and systematic business reviews to analyse the following: sales trends, local tender business sales, and performance versus plan, latest projection and market growth, and key account management.
- Review sales performances versus business plan targets to ensure flawless sales execution and, where possible, identify areas of improvement.
- Establish strong relationships with key opinion leaders and key customers.
- Work with regional Sales, Finance, Operations and country teams to improve sales projections in a timely manner.
- Support countries in managing inventory of phase-out brands to reduce obsolescence exposure.

- Strong analytical skills to develop sound business cases which will be used to evaluate business opportunities, make decisions, and determine project investments
- Ability to constructively question underlying assumptions and business rationales and to provide new perspectives and approaches to problem solving
- Result orientated with the ability to persistently drive internal processes, promote fact-based decision making, and improve the quality of the data provided.
- Ability and willingness to “Think out of the box” and find creative and effective ways of addressing identified needs
- Experience in cross-cultural and matrix environments

**Education/Experience Requirements**:

- Master’s degree preferred (preferably in Marketing) with at least 10 years of work experience in the medical device (preferably orthopaedics) industry

**Travel Requirements**:
80% across SEA
