Franklin Templeton is looking for a Retail Marketing Manager, Southeast Asia (SEA) to be based in Singapore. This role will report to the Retail Marketing Head, Asia. The role supports the firm’s strategic plans for growth in the Retail channel within the SEA region, in the formulation of strategic Marketing plans, developing campaign concepts, and deployment of industry-leading Marketing practices.

This role will help drive sales engagement with clients across SEA. The role will work with regional and country sales management on how best Marketing will contribute to achieving the firm’s business objectives with the most impactful and effective Marketing campaigns and content across all Marketing channels.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?- Support the Retail Marketing Head, Asia to develop the SEA Retail Client Marketing Plan- Implement SEA Retail Marketing initiatives to create awareness of our investment capabilities and solutions, translate client insights into compelling propositions, and optimize opportunities that contribute to our global and regional vision and business growth- Define and clearly articulate Marketing plans and activity briefs to secure resources and commitment across key stakeholders in the region and globally- Champion the voice of the client and the Brand proposition- Think commercially and design multi-channel Marketing campaigns utilizing the full and most appropriate Marketing mix- Recommend budget requirements based on analysis of previous performance to optimize resources- Engage SEA Retail Sales team to fully integrate Marketing activity into Distribution efforts- Adopt global standards and processes, and embed best practice within campaigns and activities- Establish robust campaign management, delivering a set of coherent activities to meet specific objectives- Work with Digital Marketing to monitor and strengthen campaign audience targeting to drive relevance, resonance and personalization, and adopt an agile approach to actively monitor performance to optimize activity throughout campaigns- Work with Digital Marketing to implement effective contact strategy and controls to prevent over/under communication at a client level- Work with the Content Marketing team to ensure the suite of content available to meet segment needs- Work with the Events Marketing team to launch client engagement events and roadshows to promote Franklin Templeton’s thought leadership, products and services- Partner with Digital Marketing, Content Marketing and Events to review core KPIs and report on Marketing impact as well as provide MI and narratives as required to support the Marketing governance processes- Project manage delivery of campaign assets (including advertising) to required timescales- Monitor progress against plan and budgets, flexing priorities and resources accordingly- Identify learning and development opportunities and seek to adopt Marketing best practices

What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

Key attributes- Articulate, energetic and excellent communication skills with a solid experience delivering Marketing campaigns, events and activities within the financial services industry- Results-oriented and able to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment, and work well within a team as well as independently- Leadership qualities and high flyer to lead Retail Marketing for the Core Asia business- High attention to detail and an excellent problem solver- Be flexible and willing to learn as the job will stretch the individual to strategise at a high level, as well as be hands-on on a day-to-day basis- Collaborative nature as the Retail Marketing Head for Asia will work with colleagues across the globe, regional and country teams

Key skills- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, finance, or business administration- Minimum 10 years of marketing experience in the financial sector, with a proven track record in the asset management industry particularly in the retail channel in the Asia region- Strong knowledge of marketing tools and new technology- Excellent project management skills- A people manager with strong leadership skills- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills- Ability to foster and strengthen successful relationships with stakeholders- Results driven, works through obstacles and maintains accountability- Work with integrity, manages deliverables well and acts as a company advocate- Light travelling is required for work purposes
