The Media Team and wider DMC (Digital Marketing, Media and Dcommerce) team is critical to creating value from media investment through innovation, creativity, collaboration, strategic development and flawless execution of plans.

To achieve our business objectives we need to reach the right people as a priority by creating robust media strategies that enable holistic channel planning and facilitate authentic and relevant brand communications, in order to drive growth.

The Global Assistant Media Manager supports the Global Senior Media Manager (based in UK) in delivering global full funnel communication strategy plans for Unilever’s B&W global brands being run from Singapore, which includes fantastic brands such as Clear and Ponds. Additionally, the Global Assistant Media Manager works with the global media communications planning agency team to drive implementation of robust, holistic communication planning frameworks and tools tapping into relevant centres of excellence resource from the wider agency organisation.

The Global Assistant Media Manager helps ensure that a brands core purpose is embedded into comms plans and strategies and ensures the right focus, channel and format choice and investment split aligned with key BU goals.

IMPROVED PENETRATION

The Global Assistant Media Manager supports collaboration as one B&W team across the B&W global Business Group and B&W Business Units and focuses on key project cells to drive excellent execution.

IMPACTFUL INNOVATION

Assist in pioneering new media solutions that unlock incremental business growth in line with B&W priorities and strategy.

DESIGN FOR CHANNEL

Assists in ensuring holistic comms planning excellence to full-funnel thinking across all activities.

FUEL FOR GROWTH

Supports in the delivery of media strategy and implementation excellence for effective and efficient activations in the markets.

As one of the day-to-day go-to business partners for media expertise, this person supports in upskilling and building capability in the area of media for the global B&W teams based out of Singapore.

The Global Assistant Media Manager reports to the Beauty & Wellbeing Global Media Lead. They support B&W Business Group brand teams, collaborating with global functional experts within the Business group including CMI, e-commerce and PR/Influencers, and fosters a community for Business Units and in-market B&W DMC and media leads.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Provide daily media expertise as a Media Business Partner to Global Brand teams based in Singapore on evolving communication channel plans for global brands.
- Support in the development of Brand Engagement Architectures (BEA) for global brands, including comms portfolio planning, budgeting recommendations, as well as specialty chapters such as Audiences, Innovation, Performance media, search.
- Help land global comms strategy in line with key market goals through the BU in market teams.
- Support in the establishment of a B&W DMC Community with the regional BU DMC teams
- Support all priority events/activations of global brands across multiple markets by designing strategy and implementing media in line with B&W goals.
- Support B&W team with communications thought leadership to unlock incremental growth
- Support to ensure the media agencies are set for success and provide guidance to agencies so that they can achieve excellent standards of service and thought leadership.
- Constantly driving compliance of Media Golden Rules in key markets and cells to ensure growth
- Support CMI on streamlining efforts for more effective and efficient deployment of BMI
- Help design and deliver capability and upskilling sessions for B&W team

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Media, Marketing or Digital required.
- Background in media department within advertiser or with media partner or in media, marketing or digital agency preferred.
- Good communication skills to influence a broad range of global partners, internal stakeholders and agencies.
- Good collaboration and support skills that encourage multi-stakeholder projects to thrive
