Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to implementing Agile process, principles and practices across all levels and departments in an organization by introducing techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.
- Embody the Agile principles and leads by example.
- Lead and facilitate Agile activities including organizing Agile events to enhance awareness of the squads’ progress and achievements; lead by example through championing agile values and share knowledge with the Agile community across the Group
- Serve as Agile Coach for 2-3 squads that are starting out with Agile to ensure new agile delivery squads are properly guided on industry standard agile best practices. This includes customizing inceptions and trainings as required, facilitating agile cadences and rituals as well as helping every squad to establish a rhythm that leads to increased yet sustainable productivity
- Serve Tribe leadership in planning and designing the optimal squads and tribe structure that supports achieving business outcomes, optimizes resources and enables efficient co-ordination and cross-work.
- Guide squads into the Agile methodology, providing feedback and means of improvement and answering questions on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide hands-on support to all squad members, ensuring squad cohesion is built and lead squads toward embracing agile mindsets and engineering practices.
- Contribute to educating employees at all levels, including senior management, on Agile principles.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide training sessions that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies as needed.
- Conduct periodic assessments or surveys to gauge Squads’ health, engagement and productivity and take appropriate actions individually or by seeking cooperation with other parts of the organization.
- Help define metrics for measuring Agile team performance
The successful applicant will look to educate and mentor employees at all levels on agile principles and provide tools to implement the process in their work. He/she is also key in helping the teams develop and implement agile methodologies within their everyday work to help improve collaboration, predictability and transparency.
Attributes and Experience Required:
- A friendly, communicative person able to coach, mentor, educate and inspire teams towards self-organisation and self-management
- A scientific attitude: caring about evidence; and, willingness to change beliefs based on new evidence
- A catalyst for teams' continual improvement
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with one or more of: Scrum, Kanban, Lean and XP
- CloudPay's agile teams are looking for these traits in a scrum master: confident, humble, generous, empowering, patient, and "awesomeness"
- Certified Scrum Master and any other Agile coaching certificates (Desirable)
