**Portfolio Solutions and Risk**

You will be part of a team that works closely with the Chief Investment Officer for Fixed Income & Multi Asset on sector allocation decisions, implementation of portfolio overlays, overall portfolio construction, portfolio risk management, and sustainability investing. Our team is also responsible for managing beta exposures, implementing rebalancing flows, and transition management.

**What will you do as a VP/SVP, Portfolio Solutions & Risk?**

We are looking for an experienced investment professional with structured products and market risk background to join our team with a specialization in the in-business risk management function, focusing on structured products sector of the fixed income market.
- Strengthen our risk management oversight and processes for Structured Products investing (covering global residential, consumer, aircraft, and other forms of asset-backed securitizations, CLOs, CMBS).
- Develop and implement risk monitoring framework/methodologies, lead regular portfolio reviews, identify and highlight potential risks, perform stress testing and scenario analysis, and provide actionable recommendations. Partner with the Structured Products and Alternative Credit teams, to provide additional risk oversight. Present findings/recommendations to appropriate forums such as Senior Management and Credit Committee.
- Stay abreast of market development, regulatory changes and industry best practices in relation to structured products and assess potential impact on portfolio risk.
- Provide thought leadership in the area of in-business risk management, develop and maintain relationships with key partners within and outside of GIC to review and manage overall portfolio risk.
- Support wider team’s work in driving portfolio construction, capital allocation, beta implementation and development of FI investment strategies within broader GIC portfolio.

**What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?**
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in structured products analysis/investing and/or risk research/analysis in the structured products asset class
- In-depth knowledge of structured products, including collateral analysis, product structuring, valuation methodologies, risk characteristics and market dynamics. Strong understanding of market risk tools and techniques.
- Market acumen to connect dots between macro and micro developments.
- Strong team mindset, collaborative team player who works well with colleagues and develops junior team members.
- Good communication skills and proactive engagement with key internal stakeholders and external partners
