Our client is a renowned and global commodity trading MNC.

As the Product Owner, you will join the Transformational Moves team in Digital & Innovation and be responsible for the analysis, selection, and delivery of a portfolio of Trade Digitalisation initiatives.

Initiatives to digitalise traditionally very paper-based trade, finance, shipping and operations processes include blockchain enabled platforms as well as industry wide standardisation efforts.

You will also work across the Marketing BU, our Commodity Marketing Teams and technology teams as well as external partners and customers. The role will require working closely with the Front Office, Sales & Operations, Shipping, legal, regulatory and communications teams as well as the Digital & Innovation and other technology teams and stakeholders.

Support the rollout of new ways of working to commodity marketing teams and functions, to enable innovation and agile delivery and develop the digital community within the Marketing BU.

**Customer Needs**
- Working with customers, internal stakeholders and external partners to understand the commodity specific trading, finance, shipping and logistics processes and functional requirements
- Design-led thinking and the ability to explain the value of this to internal and external stakeholders
- Implement and further develop solutions with customers, internal stakeholders and vendors through demos, design sprints, ideation sessions etc.
- Through a deep understanding of business requirements, ensure the solution meets the functional requirements of the business
- Data-driven decision making at high and low-levels
**Product Vision**
- Able to balance cost, delivery timelines, and product capabilities to rapidly implement or develop a MVP
- Have a strong sense of the product to-be (backed up by data), but be driven to collaborate and happy to shift perspectives as the product iterates
- Ability to appreciate industry-specific norms and expectations (e.g. relatively low maturity of digital products) and to bake these into how the product will evolve
- Industry, customer and competitor research. Explore trade, finance, shipping and logistics solutions and trends to shape the Trade Digitalisation strategy and roadmap for Marketing.
- Good understanding of blockchain and other emerging technologies and how these may enhance the solution
- Monitor evolving blockchain opportunities such as decentralised exchanges (DEX), tokenisation of physical assets and the regulatory landscape in Singapore and other jurisdictions.
- Lead small, agile teams and collaborate closely with Commodity Marketing Front Office and Sales & Operations teams, Shipping and the wider Digital & Innovation team
- Responsible for product delivery (driving technical development, responsible for (leading) agile ceremonies and their outputs, lightweight, agile reporting against cost/timelines etc.)
- Actively promote and embed digital, innovative and agile skillsets within Marketing
- Feature prioritisation and the delivery of incremental value
- Work with IM and other support teams to manage the full integration and digitalisation of e.g. electronic Letters of Credit (eLC) or Bills of Lading (eBL)
- Confident in challenging and interrogating product/business analysis and technical implementation.
- Happy to act as the Voice of the Customer in product testing (QA, UAT)
- Able and willing to champion the product internally and externally
- Leverage learnings from across commodity marketing teams and functions
- Ensure that solutions are aligned to group standards (including the co Security and Operating Standards)
- The creation and maintenance of delivery dashboards/analytics and the product roadmap
**Stakeholder engagement and management**
- Maintain relationships with key internal and external partners including Commodity Marketing Teams, Marketing BU functions and Marketing Information Management (IM) team
- Drive active stakeholder engagement to align on the best practice concepts and solutions, and to make sure that the future trends and risks are considered and mitigated.
