Innovation Product development lead to turn innovation opportunities/concepts into beverages for Heineken. Leads commercial and technical teams in APAC to build strong product pipeline for APAC and global.

Role reports to the Innovation Hub Head for APAC and is part of Global Innovation Hub team, but closely works with APAC R&D hub.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Leads Innovation Hub teams and R&D in APAC to turn innovation opportunities/concepts into beverages for Heineken in APAC
- Works closely with Global Hubs, Region, OpCos and R&D team network to build strong innovation product development capability in APAC
- Leads in translating consumer briefs and concepts into product briefs and actual products.
- Works closely with R&D and supply chain teams to translate product briefs into experimental solutions & prototypes with strong KPIs
- Plays a leading role in building a strong product pipeline for next 5 years based on consumer insights, market trends, demand spaces and product ideas.
- Leads Innovation Hub and R&D teams on product development through stage gates. Sets up strong checks and KPIs to ensure a robust and agile development process.
- Advises innovation hub teams on feasibility during the ideation and concepting phases
- Build & manage a multi-faceted network of partners (flavor houses, pilot plants) outside and inside organization to source innovative solutions
- Support partners in translating prototype recipes into scaled/produced beverages
- Builds a continuous test, learn and scale up culture and process in the organization for developing the right products for consumers
- Partner with Production Lead/s on feasibility, regulatory feasibility, packaging, nutrition
- Manage internal stakeholders in region, Opco and Global throughout process of development, assessing quality and areas for optimization
- Plays a leading role with a network of OPCO breweries throughout APAC to develop innovation capabilities and lead innovation product development from design to roll out market
- Builds a strong network of other global hubs to continuously develop capabilities in APAC and contribute to global R&D hubs
- Inspire the team on what’s next with the latest knowledge of food and beverage (spices, flavors, taste profiles)
- Pro-actively suggest new recipes and formula ideas to the innovation hub, Global hubs and a broader APAC OPCO team to contribute to the overall pipeline
- Lead liquid briefing with internal and external development partners
- Manage partners throughout process, assessing quality and areas for optimization
- Support partners in translating prototype recipes into scaled/produced beverages
- Partner with Production Lead on feasibility, regulatory feasibility, packaging, nutrition

**Experience / Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years experience in leading direct and cross functional R&D and Innovation teams in Innovations Development and Implementation
- Ability to influence a large number of stakeholders from HKN breweries & ecosystem) partners to flavor houses, product development partners
- Functional expertise in beverages, with a focus in RTD alcohol including wine & spirits
- Passion for experimentation - a tinkerer’s mindset
- Strong understanding of innovation stage gate process
- Ability to input and translate between marketing and technical experts to create a brief that can be executed against
