**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Take ownership of the iSeries environment, specifically AS400, and ensure its smooth operation.
- Possess expertise in IBMi 7.3-7.5, VIOS 2.x and 3.x, iSeries/Power series refresh, and securing operations, vulnerability analysis, and remediation in IBMi.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues and communicate status updates to business users and stakeholders.
- Ensure timely reporting, tracking, and resolution of issues.
- Support disaster recovery tests, live-play, and business continuity activities.
- Escalate issues to management and compliance teams as necessary.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in an iSeries environment.
- Proficiency in iSeries/Power series system refresh.
- Expertise in securing operations, vulnerability analysis, and remediation.
- Deep understanding of compliance and audit requirements.
- Experience with ITIL best practices in service request, incident, problem, and change management.
- Technical proficiency in IBM i5/OS (OS/400) V6/V7, VIOS VM environment, network protocols, system performance analysis, capacity planning, PTF/CUM package ordering/installation, Query/400 - SQL/400, DB2, Java, ILE RPG/400, ILE COBOL, ILE C++, XML Toolkit, remote journaling/high availability, and backup and recovery.
- Strong knowledge of security and vulnerability management, access control, and object authorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience with AIX, Redhat, Ansible Tower, Ivanti, Centrify, Veritas, and BMC software.
- Familiarity with VSAN, iSCSI, DAS, NAS, SAN storage technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or others.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and/or involvement in DevOps teams.
- Professional certification in iBMi.
- ITIL qualification.
