**Job Title:** AS400 Application Infra / Environment Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of AS400 Application Infra/Environment Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing and understanding requirements, developing CL/RPG programs with DB2 in AS400, and setting up AS400 system environments for new servers, applications, and countries.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in AS400 V7R4 or higher, Control-M for AS400 V9.0.19 or higher, and experience in analysing design specifications and producing technical designs for banking systems in AS400. Additionally, they will possess skills in DB2, CL, and RPG programming, as well as Connect Direct setup and AS400 environment management.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and understand requirements to develop CL/RPG programs with DB2 in AS400.
  • Set up AS400 system environments for new servers, applications, and countries.
  • Develop interface file layouts in AS400 with Connect Direct setup for file sending/receiving with source systems on various platforms.
  • Design and implement job schedules that integrate upstream and downstream systems (e.g., Control-M).
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance testing, focusing on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensure timely delivery of documentation, design, build, testing, and deployment according to work breakdown structures.
  • Collaborate with production support teams as needed to support production activities, including migrations, continuity testing, and environment migration.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AS400 V7R4 or higher.
  • Experience in analysing design specifications and producing technical designs for banking systems in AS400.
  • Expertise in DB2, CL, and RPG programming.
  • Knowledge of Connect Direct setup and AS400 environment management.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
