An Assistant Executive Housekeeper will assist the Executive Housekeeper in the operation of the Housekeeping department and stand in as the Executive Housekeeper in his / her absence.

**What will I be doing?**

As an Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you will assist the Executive Housekeeper for all aspects of Housekeeping and Laundry in the hotel. Specifically, an Assistant Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

- To supervise and oversee day-to-day Housekeeping operations including Rooms, Public Areas, Linen Room and Florist.
- Assume responsibilities of Executive Housekeeper in his/her absence.
- Revise daily work schedule and duty roster of Housekeeping when necessary.
- Recruit and select new Team Members.
- Appraise Team Members, recommend promotions, perform disciplinary action and propose possible dismissals.
- Ensure Hotel and Housekeeping regulation and procedures are being followed by all staff.
- Conduct and attend Housekeeping Communication Meeting.
- Investigate guest complaints and take corrective action.
- Regularly inspects guest rooms, public areas, F&B Outlets and offices to ensure prescribed standard of cleanliness.
- Recommend rooms which should be put out of order, co-ordinate with Engineering and Front Office to make these rooms available for repair and maintenance work.
- Supervise the use of all guest supply items, cleaning detergents, cleaning machines and equipment.
- Follow up on contractors with the maintenance.
- Supervise store inventory and ordering procedures for linen, mini-bar, supplies and furniture.
- Recommend improvements of products for cleaning detergents and equipment.
- Prepare schedules for carpet, upholstery, curtain and general cleaning etc., to maintain high standard of cleanliness for guest rooms and public areas.
- Ensure necessary procedures for lost and found items are followed through.
- To be responsible for and liaise with all outside contractors.
- To be directly responsible for the training and development of the Assistant Housekeepers and Supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned.

- Advanced knowledge and understanding in hotel operations
- Ability to train and handle people
- Ability to work under pressure at all times
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude and committed to delivering a high level of customer service
- At least three years in Housekeeping with a senior supervisory level in relevant hotel

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

- Proficiency, at an intermediate level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office Vocational training in Housekeeping or similar field
