**Position Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, enhance, and optimize our core trading systems to achieve ultra-low latency and high throughput.
- Continuously monitor and tune system performance to ensure high reliability and efficiency.
- Design and implement scalable solutions to support our growing number of trading venues and increased trading volume.
- Develop automated solutions to ensure system reliability and uptime, including failover mechanisms and disaster recovery processes.
- Work closely with trading, DevOps, and security teams to integrate and align system improvements with overall business goals.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of trading system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing actionable improvements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, optimization techniques, and operational procedures.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar disciplines
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on high-performance trading systems.
- Understanding of low-level performance tuning concepts (e.g. microprocessor architecture, Linux kernel, networking, blockchain architecture)
- Good understanding of low-to-high level testing and performance optimization principles, statistical performance measuring and test-driven development approaches
- Demonstrated experience in object-oriented design and multi threaded programming
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Good communication skills & ability to translate non-technical requirements into technical tasks
- Ability to multitask and work with mínimal supervision.

**Additional skillsets**:

- Knowledge of blockchain technology and smart contracts.
- Familiarity with security best practices in trading systems.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
