**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Perform R&D work within a small team to develop a fully functioning system.
- Conduct research, document experimental findings, and present reports at meetings.
- Design, develop and enhance electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices.
- Design, develop, and test motion planning and control algorithms for robots to execute various automation tasks.
- Design, develop, and test real-time communication modules with robot controllers and peripheral devices.
- Create automated systems and the software to control them.
- Create and maintain schematic design, PCB layout for customised electrical parts.
- Develop low level programme codes for custom parts, improve stability of existing devices and document codes.
- Design, engineer and maintain electrical system for robots and wireless / IOT sensors.
- Selecting the required tools and materials for the manufacturing process.
- Familiar with power management system, motor controller system, wireless sensor system.
- Size, characterise, calibrate, and ensure consistency of all mechanical/electrical/electronic parts.
- Product software integration, debugging, configuring, and testing.
- Develop testing method to validate electrical design and improve stability of our products.
- Develop design documents and product manuals.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of junior engineers or apprentices.
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and conferences to network with others and stay on top of field advancements.

**Requirements**:

- Academic background in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent field.
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in programming with C#/C/C++ and Python.
- Experience in Power Management System, PLC, CAN BUS, MOD BUS, Serial RS232, TCP/IP, UART, I2C, SPI
- Experience in soldering, electronic testing and troubleshooting
- Understanding in Electrical CAD, PCB Design tools such as Eagle, Altium
- Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatics fundamentals.
- Highly enthusiastic about robotics and emerging tech.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience & Interest in Robotic programming (ROS).
- Experience & Interest in IOT system
- Experience & Interest in Electrical CAD, PCB Design tools such as Eagle, Altium is a plus
- Experience with developing concurrent and hierarchical robotic software systems such as ROS
- Experience with software development in medium to large scale team
- Experience with multi-joint robot hardware
- Advanced Linux user
- Mathematical background such as multibody dynamics, collision checking, search algorithms and optimization
- Working knowledge of CAD (Solidworks, CATIA, etc)
- Familiarity with Machine Learning and AI
