The Chief Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of all engineering activities within the organization. This includes overseeing engineering related projects and its maintenance. He/she must ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Chief Engineer also plays a critical role in leading the engineering team, fostering innovation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. He/she shall provide technical leadership and direction in all areas of engineering.

**Primary Responsibilities**

Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage the engineering team, provident guidance and performance evaluation
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment
- Develop and manage the engineering department's budget
- Ensure cost-effective use of resources and materials
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives

Project Management
- Oversee and manage the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
- Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Communicate project progress and technical information to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth project execution and communication.

Technical Expertise & Safety Assurance
- Provide technical leadership and direction in all areas of engineering.
- Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Implement and monitor quality control processes.
- Promote a culture of safety within the engineering team.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology.
- Encourage the development and implementation of innovative engineering solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma/ Degree in Hospitality Management or have at least 10 years of working experience in a hotel
- A strong understanding of local law relating to Engineering
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
